5 Simple Steps to make 2017 the Best Year Ever!

So how was your 2016?
Was it by far the best year of your life?
I mean over the top, you can’t wait for more?
If you are like most people, you probably answered no.

5 Simple Steps to make 2017 the Best Year Ever!
If you had the choice of spending the same 365 days and just surviving it or having the best year of your life,
which would you choose?
Of course you would choose the best year of your life!
You know what you would prefer, you always get the same 365 days each year,
so what is getting in the way and how do we get it out of there?
First, let’s start with the question, how did you do on your Top 3 goals in 2016?
Most people don’t even have a top one goal, let alone a history of what they did on their top 3 goals.

Well, let’s turn that around right now.
5 Simple Steps to make 2017 the Best Year Ever!
Step 1:  (Spend only 30 seconds on this. REALLY!)

Pick your number one goal in each of the following categories.
Physical, Financial, and Relationship.

STOP! Do it now.

We are talking only 30 seconds and then write the goals down.
If you had achieved these 3 goals in 2016, do you think 2016 would have been your best year ever?
If you answer is anything but YES, redo Step 1 with bigger goals.

We have done it.
In only 30 seconds.
Can you believe it?
Finally, you are starting your new year off with actual targets that will make your 2016 the best year ever.
How much better do you feel knowing you now have clear targets to go after?
It kind of takes the anxiety out and allows you to get down to business.
You know what you want, now let’s get you there with Steps 2 through 5.
Remember, you have only 4 and ½ minutes left.

Step 2: Turn your Top 3 Goals into your Top 3 one year goals.

If you can not complete your Top 3 Goals in one year, reduce them down to where you can complete them in one year.
Make sure you don’t reduce them down to the point where they don’t inspire you, but just enough to make them one year goals.

Step 3: Choose 3 people to hold you accountable to your top 3 Goals, one person for each goal.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
We jump from goal to goal never achieving any of them.
Once you achieve one of your goals, the new ideas that you will start having will be 1000 times greater then the ideas you are having right now.
Just know that these goals you just wrote down ARE the ones that are truly important to you, because you were not given enough time to think about choosing them.
They were already there.

Step 4:  Get out a blank piece of paper.

Choose one of the persons that will be holding you accountable.
Write Dear <Their Name> at the top of the paper.
Followed by, I, <Your Name> promise to consistently make progress on
The top goal they are supporting you on for the entire year of 2017 until it is achieved.
I will give you monthly updates on my progress.
Sign your name on the bottom.
Do the same thing with your other 2 goals.

Step 5: Give those papers to the respective persons and post your goals in a location where you can review them daily.

Update your new accountability buddies on your progress and look out 2017.

Congratulations on completing this exercise.

accomplish-1136863_1280

I hope it took you 5 minutes or less.
It is actually better the quicker you do it.
It prevents all the second guessing that naturally takes place.
If you skipped over these exercises you will never understand their power.
It’s like the difference between imagining you are standing at the edge of a cliff and actually standing at the edge of cliff.

Once you achieve any of your top 3 goals,
you will be flooded by ideas that are 1000’s of times better than before you started on these goals.
You can not imagine what you will have access to once you complete just one of these goals.

5 Simple Steps to make 2017 the Best Year Ever!

Good luck on your best year ever!

By the way, if you are looking to maximize your goals in 2017, financial success should be one of your list.

If yes, you might just need this. Check this new topic above everyone is watching and learning.

This might just be what you need to achieve your goal.

The Gratitude Attitude

Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces in
the Universe. It may not look as good as money, a
big car, a palatial house, or the latest makeover
– in fact, you can’t see it at all
– but, as I’m going to show you, gratitude has more power to
change your life than all these material things
put together.

The dictionary tells us that gratitude is “the
expression of gratefulness and thanks” but this
doesn’t begin to convey its real effect. Here are
an alternative set of definitions.

  • Gratitude stops you taking your life for granted
and helps you realize how many good things you
    have in your life.
  • Gratitude makes others feel better.
  • Gratitude makes you feel better. In the words of
an Arabian proverb, “The hand that gives the roses
always keeps some of the scent.”
  • Gratitude raises your awareness of things around
    you.
  • Gratitude is easy, quick, and simple.
  • Gratitude is an instant blues-breaker and
    stress-reliever.
  • Gratitude changes your view of so-called “bad”
    things.
  • Gratitude frees you from petty annoyances.
  • Gratitude inspires you.
  • Gratitude puts your thoughts and feelings on a
high vibration level that in turn attracts back to
you more things to be grateful for.
  • Gratitude nourishes the soul.
  • Gratitude is like compound interest on money in
the bank: the more you put in, the more you get
    out.
  • Gratitude is a spiritual act because it
acknowledges that the origin of all good things is
    a source outside ourselves.
  • Gratitude puts you on a direct line to God.

That’s the “what” of gratitude.
To show you the “how”, here are three things you can do to make
the Gratitude Attitude a firm fixture in your
life.

  1. Create a Thank Bank.

A Thank Bank is simply a place where you can jot down all the
things that you are grateful for in your life. You
can split the bank into different accounts such as
Family, Surroundings and Work, and then simply
start writing out your thanks until you stop. Put
your list somewhere safe and pull it out when
you’re feeling down and you’ll instantly change
your mood.

  1. Show Gratitude Quietly.

Don’t turn gratitude into a promotional or motivational tool.
Too much thanks is as ineffective as too little.
Instead, express your thanks in quiet ways: a
thought, a prayer, a one-on-one word, a note of
appreciation. Give people gifts of thanks that
aren’t bought at shops: a bit of your time, a
sacrifice, something valuable to you. Remember the
story in the Bible of the widow, who gave a small
money gift in thanks even though it was worth
everything to her.

  1. Always Replace the 3 C’s With the 3 A’s.

If you work or manage others, and sometimes
feel the need to use one of the 3 C’s –
complaining, condemning, and criticizing – replace
them with the 3 A’s of Accepting, Acknowledging,
and Appreciating. Accept people for who they are;
acknowledge them for what they do; and appreciate
them for just being around. Remember that when you
appreciate others, your reputation and respect
appreciates too.

There’s nothing complicated about gratitude. It’s
something we can all do. We so often don’t do it
because we forget, because we focus on the few
so-called bad things in our lives, and because we
take the wonderful things for granted. So change
your life.

Put gratitude just below your level of
consciousness, and every day will become one of
joy and delight.

What is your Burning Desire — Golden Key or Red Herring?

What is your Burning Desire?                                                                     Acres of Diamonds… you’ve read the famous story, or at least had it related to you.

A farmer hears tales of diamonds and begins dreaming of vast riches.
He sells his farm and hikes off over the horizon, never to be heard from again.
Rumors say that years later he died destitute,
never having found the diamonds he spent his life seeking.

Meanwhile, the man who bought that farm found a large and “interesting looking” stone in a stream that ran through the property.
He put the stone on his mantle where a visitor recognized the large stone as a rough diamond.

It turned out to be the Hope Diamond, the largest such stone ever found.
That stream bed was littered with diamonds,
and the new owner became fabulously wealthy.
No doubt he also lived happily ever after.

But doesn’t something in that story set strangely with you?

What about the guy with the burning desire and the grand vision?
He ended up disappointed and broke, dying far from his family and friends.
Not a happy ending.

Meanwhile, the guy who just wanted to do some farming got all the riches.
Make no mistake, the new owner already had money,
or he could not have bought the land.

There’s nothing in this story to make us think he was dreaming about riches,
vast or otherwise.
No burning desire.
But he got the goodies.

Was this just another little prank, courtesy of a mischievous Universe?

Or is it possible to get good things coming your way with only mild desire
— maybe even a calm indifference?

Many inspirational writers, including Napoleon Hill,
have assured us that a burning desire is one of the prerequisites of acquiring a fortune.

What is your Burning Desire?
I’ve even said it myself, although I added the qualifier that the powerful desire is not so much for the Universe.
It’s for you, to help you overcome and battle past your own doubts and resistances.

But haven’t you seen people who seem to coast into good things,
like the farmer who found the Hope Diamond?

I’ve known people like that.

In fact, after I’d been in Singapore for a while and had set up a “channel” for business to flow through, I could just think about receiving more money, and I’d get an immediate surge of business within hours.

This pattern went on for 2 or 3 years, till I shut down my writing and editing business. So it wasn’t an occasional fluke.

Now, I must admit I had a burning determination to stay in Singapore, and for the first year or two I never knew if things would work out for me or not.

Then, things started shifting my way, and they stayed that way. Why?

Truthfully, I don’t think the deciding factor was the desire.

Lots of people come here to Singapore, but never quite find out how to stay.

Many, many foreigners who come here end up losing their toehold and slinking back home.

On the other hand, the ones who do stay are often not especially hard working, dedicated, sensible or qualified.
More than one long-time English teacher or copywriter remains here because they enjoy the hard drinking culture, the many women who like foreigners, or the feel of being a round peg in a square hole.

Achieving their dream doesn’t appear to have a lot to do with burning desire.

Instead, it seems to be more a matter of what they can allow themselves to have.

What is your Burning Desire?

Some people call this a sense of deserving.
Others call it a sense of entitlement.
No matter what term you use, it’s basically the same thing.
Either way, it’s governed by who you think you are and what circumstances you accept as appropriate for you.

In other words, it all starts from who you are in your own mind.

So What is your Burning Desire?

One more thing, Do you know how Wealth works?
What if YOU can have it ALL!
This is one of the powerful techniques to manifest wealth
This is something you won’t want to miss.

What have you got to lose by reading one more self improvement article?

Hello there,

SO…….

There are a variety of self improvement articles available nowadays.
You may be thinking that this is one of those, obviously.                       What have you got to lose by reading one more self improvement article?

When you came to 40-year stage in your life, you will suddenly realize many things.
You get to ask yourself questions.
How will it be when I get to the end of my life?
How do I feel about the life I lived?

Then someone gave you some self improvement articles while telling you that it is not yet too late.
Does that mean anything to you?

You bet it does.
The feeling of anxiety that will come next is just normal.
Then you will feel confused because life had felt so good.
You were happy, had a successful marriage, two wonderful kids, and a job you reasonably enjoyed.

What was my problem?

It was your class ceiling.
The “practical” and fear-based side that had convinced you all along that your passion and dreams had died.

Here are top ten shifts in perspective that can help you move your life to the next level.
This self improvement article will assist you in breaking through your own glass ceiling to create the life you really want.

  1. Give yourself permission to dream.

You probably had no problem dreaming as a kid.
What happened to your ability to imagine and dream about what you want and who you want to be?
When was the last time you caught yourself daydreaming and appreciated it?

  1. Stop looking outside yourself for happiness.

Look inside.
Increase your self-awareness.
Get curious about who you are at the core.
Cultivate and nurture a relationship with yourself.

  1. Cover the basics.

Take the time to address your personal needs.
How can you focus on thriving in your life if you are in survival mode?
Set up that meeting with a financial advisor, get your space organized, clean up the details that are wasting your energy.

  1. Embrace your past and move on.

Shift from “why it happened” to what I want to do about it now.
Asking “why” is not a very empowering question.
Asking what or how I want to proceed can be much more powerful and produce forward movement.

  1. Remember that you are not alone.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed with life.
Seek support.
Read more self improvement articles.
They might help you figure about some things that are confusing you.

  1. Remember gratitude.

Count your blessings.
What is working right in you life?
Make a list.
Set aside a bit of time everyday to acknowledge what or who you are grateful for.
The more you practice gratitude, the more you attract into your life things to be grateful for.

  1. Court your passion.

You still have your passions though it has been a while since you may have felt it flow.
When are you the most alive and joyful in your life?
Who do you most admire and what do they inspire in you?

  1. Take action and take a risk.

All the inspiration in the world is not enough to make you move your life to the next level.
It takes inspired action to do that.

  1. Keep breathing.

You probably forget to take deep full breaths.
We have all learned to constrict our breathing in response to stress.
According to many self improvement articles, we not only need oxygen to stay alive, we need oxygen to give us energy and keep us healthy.
Right now take 5 deep, full breaths.

  1. Have fun.

Call a friend, take a bubble bath, take yourself cinema or schedule a whole day out in nature.
Put on some great music and dance till you drop.

And you thought this was just one of those self improvement articles.

Why Success Stories Often Begin With Failure?

Success Stories Often Begin With Failure.

Hope you are feeling in need of a motivation boost!

So here it goes 🙂

Why the Best Success Stories Often Begin With Failure

Successful people are great storytellers.

But Success Stories Often Begin With Failure

Do you agree?

They have perfected the art of persuasion.

They can frame strong arguments and voice them clearly and concisely.

These storytellers are often pros at sharing their success stories.

If you ask one of these people to tell you about themselves they will dive into a script

of their many successes throughout their life while cruising through their resume.

Many of us are these people.

How many times have you rattled off your well-rehearsed story of your life to someone else with pride?

You’ve perfected this story and framed it to be grand and impressive.

Every now and then a storyteller may share a hardship they faced in their story but then explain how they overcame it and reached eventual success.

But never does one go through the many things that went wrong.

But what I think is that the best success stories are often begin with failures.

For instance, the famous people that you know of downs not always start from success but instead they build them from failure .

Just check out their stories of failure.

  1. Bill Gates watched his first company crumble.

Bill Gates is now one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, but he didn’t earn his fortune in a straight line to success. Gates entered the entrepreneurial scene with a company called Traf-O-Data, which aimed to process and analyze the data from traffic tapes (think of it like an early version of big data).

He tried to sell the idea alongside his business partner, Paul Allen, but the product barely even worked. It was a complete disaster. However, the failure did not hold Gates back from exploring new opportunities, and a few years later, he created his first Microsoft product, and forged a new path to success.

  1. Henry Ford: While Ford is today known for his innovative assembly line and American-made cars, he wasn’t an instant success. In fact, his early businesses failed and left him broke five time before he founded the successful Ford Motor Company.

  1. Walt Disney: Today Disney rakes in billions from merchandise, movies and theme parks around the world, but Walt Disney himself had a bit of a rough start. He was fired by a newspaper editor because, “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn’t last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept plugging along, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.

Scientists and Thinkers

These people are often regarded as some of the greatest minds of our century, but they often had to face great obstacles, the ridicule of their peers and the animosity of society.

“There is nothing like knowing you have a real opportunity to affect the future in a positive way.”

Tisha Johnson

That’s right, you do not quit is the key to success.

Only YOU and you yourself is able to find the right path to success.

I do have a video to feed you some motivation and this video is so very powerful!

While I was watching, I couldn’t help think that

10 Awesome Hacks To Optimize Your Life

How to Break the Cycle of Postponing Your Dreams

How to Break the Cycle of Postponing Your Dreams?

Do you have a dream, but keep postponing it because you feel trapped by the responsibilities of life?

Want to be a writer, work from home, own your own business?

First, we will examine how your dream got deferred.

Then, we will outline definitive steps to get you back on track.

“How did I get to this point in my life?”

Many of us look back and realize if we had it to do again, we would do some things differently.

As a Consultant of a staffing agency for the past 3 years, I have developed a theory.

In my opinion, many people “fall” into a job.

Most accept the first decent paying position out of school.

If it’s not something they’re particularly crazy about, they’ll take this until they figure out what it is they really want to do.

Usually, the demanding responsibilities of rent, student loans, credit cards, etc. take over, making it hard to focus on what they really want to do.

After 3, 5, 7 years in a field, it becomes more difficult to move into a different area because it often means a salary cut.

At this point, however, a salary cut is often out of the question because of the above-mentioned responsibilities.

It evolves into a vicious cycle.

So,how to Break the Cycle of Postponing Your Dreams?

The guidelines outlined below will put you well on your way to achieving your dreams.

Some of this advice will fly in the face of what you have been told all your life.

It’s up to you to decide if your dream is important enough to accept it.

Here is, How to Break the Cycle of Postponing Your Dreams

  1. Make your dream one of your top three priorities.

The mistake many make is putting their dreams on the back burner, eg, “I’ll focus on “That”, when the kids graduate from high school, when I pay off that student loan, once I get that promotion, etc.”

There will always be something that can get in the way, if you let it.

If you really want to be a writer, work from home, own your own business, travel more, whatever it is, you have to make it a priority.

Otherwise it will always remain just that, a dream.

  1. Manage debt. Massive debt limits the ability to make life changes.

Most people are forced into having to make a certain salary because they’ve become accustomed to a certain lifestyle.

Let’s face it, most of us work to live.

Our lives dictate to us, not the other way around.

Look at all the pressing demands in your life.

Outside of keeping a roof over your head, putting food on the table, saving for retirement and health insurance, how many obligations can you cut back on?

I personally do not believe that parents owe children an education.

It’s nice if you can help out, but you don’t have to outright pay for it.

Cut back on the college fund, outright buy a car instead of making payments, eat out less, and really, how many white shirts does one need – cut the shopping.

I live in Singapore, one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Yet, in the last 3 years, I’ve managed to build 1 business, work from home and basically plan my days to suit my needs, instead of having them planned for me.

I guarantee you, if you start making your dream one of your main priorities, you’d be amazed at how what you can do to achieve it.

  1. Invest and save: Start a dream fund.

Securing your dream is not about how much you make, but how much you save.

If you want to work from home, start planning and saving for it now.

Most wait until they are so fed up with a current situation that they find themselves doing something drastic out of sheer frustration.

You will have a much better chance at success if you slowly and carefully start to plan months or years in advance. This will give you a chance to start freelancing and pick up clients while you are working full-time; pay down debts, save more aggressively, buy needed equipment, etc.

Starting early has another benefit as well.

You will become calmer inside because you are doing something toward your dream. This will make your current situation more tolerable.

In almost any given situation, taking positive action almost always makes you feel better.

So, although you may not be able to live your dream right away, taking these steps will allow you to start realizing it today! Once again, How do you break the cycle. This is how you do it.

The Amazing You

Life Sucks Right .. Not really .. Here are some easy Changes. You just need to realize the Amazing You.

Well…let me break it down for you.

Do you feel like you are always talking yourself out of success?  As soon as you start to set goals for yourself, do you suddenly have nagging thoughts about how you aren’t up to the task or how you simply aren’t qualified to carry it through?

If you have ever experienced either situation, you need to change the way you respond to your inner dialogue.  Instead of obeying your negative commands, you can use positive self-talk to counter the negativity and overcome nearly all anxious thoughts.

Easy way to explain this in one word ..HAPPINESS

HAPPINESS is the key.

You need to be happy in order to be positive.

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful”- Albert Schweitzer

In order to be happy though you need to find out how amazing you are.

Yes .. you need to accept and embrace that you are amazing as a human being.

Well you might be thinking, this is easy said than done. How am I going to turn my life around?

What you need to do is setting goals and sticking to them with Positive Self-Talk.

For example, are you initially filled with excitement when you first set goals for yourself? Are these thoughts then followed by self-doubt and self-defeating thoughts that stop you in your tracks before you even get started?

It can be difficult to make the most of your life when you are constantly talking yourself out of being a success.  It can be frustrating and discouraging to have these thoughts constantly plaguing you. Many of us, in fact, don’t even realize we have them! All we know is that we don’t have the confidence to stick to our plans and reach our goals.

But there’s another way!

Positive self-talk is an effective way to set goals and ensure that you stick to them, even if you have never been able to do this before.  The way this works is that you decide what goal is important to you, and then you plan the way of how you are going to attain this goal.  When self-doubt starts kicking in, you will respond with affirmations that prove your success without surrendering to the negative pressure. Since you’re reading this article, it’s clear that you’re no quitter and you’re certainly not a failure, so start believing in yourself!

Re-Programming Your Mind

Affirmations are essentially positive statements that re-program your mind for the positive. The moment you have a self-defeating thought you’d be able to counter the negative with a motivating statement. An example of a positive affirmation is: “I am worthy of great success,” or “I see myself in the winner’s circle.”  What this does is replace negativity with thoughts that will help you move toward your goals instead of further away from them.

Smile to yourself on the mirror. The more you smile the more you feel happy about yourself. It’s a chemistry all of us have. Look at yourself and discover the amazing you

the amazing you

Besides positive self-talk is easier to implement than you might think. You may not be aware of the severity of the negative dialogue currently within your mind. However, once you begin with positive self-talk, you will suddenly realize that you are self-sabotaging the goals you set for yourself from the minute that you make them. This process can open your eyes to exactly how much this inner conversation has been interfering with your life. You’ll feel hopeful that you can now set goals and surpass them.

Through positive self-talk you will be able easily set long and short-term goals for yourself. And when you use affirmations, you’ll have accessible tools to help you push yourself further than ever before. Learning to quiet negativity with positive thoughts is a great move toward setting and attaining future goals with ease.

Furthermore, I did some digging and found out a research by Marion Neubronner and her very captivating video about self improvement invention based on research of a Harvard Trained Psychologist. The video I would highly recommend you to check it out is The Amazing You.

This might fast forward your life towards reaching your success.

Do check it out – (highly recommended) The Amazing You.
